This has to be one of the best editorials I've seen recently, there isn't a single piece I wouldn't wear and I just might be in love with the Budweiser one-piece.

P.S. My ebook reader completely fried, it switches on normally but then it displays the main menu completely distorted as if it was cracked, only it's not...it also won't let me navigate anywhere. It's a Sony PRS-505, a bit old but it worked fine until now and I've always been careful never to drop it. Has this happened to any of you? If so, how can I fix it?

P.S. O meu ebook reader fritou completamente, liga-se normalmente mas depois mostra o menu principal completamente distorcido como se o ecrã estivesse partido, só que não está... É um Sony PRS-505, ligeiramente velhinho, mas funcionou bem até agora e tive sempre o cuidado de nunca o deixar cair. Já tiveram algum problema do genero? Se sim, como posso resolve-lo?

Random inspiration, there isn't any semblance of order in this post, so I won't pretend this makes any sense.
The highlight of my week was the royal wedding, or rather the rubbish people spew about it...Now let me clear things up, I do think they make a lovely couple, and I believe they married for love, I can't see any other way a regular person (and as educated and intelligent as Kate) would be willing to marry a prince. Everyone seems to think being a princess is an amazing thing, but is it really? Firstly, you can say goodbye to your privacy, any sense of self you might have, political opinions, religious beliefs, social beliefs, and all your clothes need, of course, to be "proper". Being royalty is much worse than being just a celebrity, no one would think anything of Britney Spears saying she is a Commie,bisexual, atheist, or whatever, poor Kate however, it would be hell on earth! The truth is, you can't very much be yourself when there's press constantly watching you, and everything you say could come back and bit you in the proverbial ass. That thought frightens me, I am a very opinated person, I can't imagine myself holding my personal beliefs in check for fear they would be misinterpreted by  (or just plain offensive to) the king of whoknowswear. The thing is, you can't belong to royalty and not be "politically correct" which is probably one of the things I hate the most.
I believe not every single one of those girls and boys is thinking seriously about the implications, they just see the glamour and the lavish wedding, and think " I want that to myself", but everything comes at a price, and in this case it's the loss of individuality (at least in public), and for me, it's just not worth it.

P.S. How gorgeous is the hair of the girl on the last picture? There's someone I would marry if only for the privilege of saying "this is my wife, she has amazing hair!"

Inspirações aleatórias, não há grande organização, portanto nem vou fingir que tem um tema.

Para mim o ponto alto da semana foi o casamento real, ou melhor...as coisas que saem da boca das pessoas à cerca do casamento.

Deixem-me dizer, antes de mais, que acho que eles fazem um casal adorável, e que acredito que tenham casado por amor, não consigo ver outra razão que possa levar uma pessoa normal (ainda por cima, tão culta e inteligente como a Kate) a casar com um princípe.

Toda a gente parece acreditar que ser uma princesa é algo fantástico, mas será mesmo? Primeiro, podem dizer adeus à vossa privacidade, opiniões políticas, religiosas ou sociais...e claro todas as roupas terão que ser "apropriadas". Pertencer à realeza é muito pior que ser uma celebridade, se a Britney Spears dissesse que era comunista, bisexual, ateista etc. ninguém ia ligar, já a pobre da Kate teria um mar de complicações. A verdade é que não podemos ser nós próprios quando temos a imprensa a observar-nos constantemente, e tudo o que digas pode vir a ser prejudicial. Não se pode pertencer à realeza e não ser "políticamente correcto", o que é provavelmente uma das coisas que mais desprezo.

Acho que nem todas as raparigas e rapazes maravilhados com a ideia de pertencer à realeza pensam racionalmente naquilo que estão a dizer, vem apenas o luxo e a sumptuosidade e pensam que querem aquilo para eles próprios, sem considerar que tudo tem um preço, neste caso perca de grande parte da individualidade, o que para mim simplesmente não vale a pena.

P.S. O cabelo da rapariga da última foto não é fantástico? Ora aí está uma pessoa com quem não me importava de casar, nem que fosse só pelo privilégio de dizer "esta é a minha mulher e tem um cabelo maravilhoso"

I'm not a movie critic, in fact I don't even appreciate movies all that much. For me they are mostly cheap thrills, when compared to books, I like some more than others but all in all they only serve purpose as long as they entertain me, but sometimes along comes a movie, or a couple of movies, that I truly enjoy, these movies are usually underrated and under appreciated which really bothers me, I want the things I love to be valued, and their quality assessed by many.
So I decided to share with you two of my favourite films, and these ones in particular, hold interest for the time period they portray, namely the 70's and 80's.

I love the fashion of that time, (not to mention the music, I blame my father for being nostalgic and keeping all of his records), the clothes were just so bold, the make-up outrageous, and everyone looked so androgynous, it made for some pretty crazy looks I can't help to love, even if I wouldn't dare to wear half of them. I think people back then were a lot more fashion forward, they played with colours, patterns and textures and didn't give a rat's ass about what everyone else thought of them. In a sense I think that's what I like so much about both these movies, the sense of freedom and irreverence, a certain apathy for everything and society and its norms in particular.

Velvet Goldmine I watched a few years ago, and I was taken by it from the very beginning, mainly because it starts with a young Oscar Wilde saying he wants to be a "pop idol" and in someways that's exactly what he was, a pop idol of literature, the very first one! After that bold statement there was no turning back, I knew I was gonna love this film.

 Curt Wild, and his amazing leopard jacket

 It's about David Bowie and Iggy Pop, but they decided do call them Brian Slade and Curt Wild instead. The cast is absolutely amazing, Johnathan Rhys Meyers as Slade, Toni Collete as Mandy Slade, Ewan McGregor as Curt Wilde and Christian Bale as Arthur Stuart. I won't summarise the movie, you'll find perfectly decent summaries if you google it, I'll just say it's amazing and you'll regret it if you don't watch it, besides, the soundtrack is absolutely gorgeous and Rhys Meyers sings most of the songs, seeing as the film is a musical, that shouldn't be very surprising, I just didn't know he sang, he apparently does...

 And people wonder why I don't find Lady Gaga amazing...

Worried about the boy I saw a few weeks ago, and it tells the story of Boy George, lead singer of Culture Club and solo performer once the band broke up. I love Culture Club, and I think my dad collected all of the records they ever produced, he doesn't want to admit it but he had a major crush on Boy George back in the 80's, but then again who didn't?
Douglas Booth, who plays Boy George is simply amazing, he really managed to capture the essence of the character and the era.
Freddie Fox who plays Marilyn ( a transvestite and Marilyn Monroe impersonator, also one of the Boy's best friends) was also amazing and I loved his character to pieces, she had some of the outfits I loved the most.

Gorgeous Marilyn, I love the whole outfit, and I need that goth waist belt now

   I love his make up, his hair and every bloody thing!
